    The way I have my smartphone setup I can plug the "charge cord" into the USB port on the computer, which will charge the phone, and then also download pics/etc, if I toggle that on in my phone settings.
    Since the phone acts as our internet hotspot too, it is plugged in there often and does not need charged otherwise...I don't even know where my 120v charger is.
