    Well, I hope so, cuz I wasn't whispering. :p

    I know how it is with the old stoves. I loved the Vigilant. A lot of quick heat, even from a cold start. Throws massive amounts of heat at high temps. Nothing really replaces that experience.

    But, the 30 and Defiant are far better at moving heat. Even in the same location, the Defiant and 30 totally out perform the old Vigilant in every way. I couldn't imagine going from something like the Vigilant to a BK equivalent. It would be weird. I'd probably giggle a lot from the huge difference.

    I've got a pretty thick hide.
    I could probably swing the NC30 soon (have to move it in under the wiferadar), but I REALLY want a very controllable stove in the SS.

    It's the wood......
    Year #8 burning and it just keeps getting easier........except for this Maple. It's being ornery.
    Now, if I could just get those 12 hour burns like Ray.:D:popcorn:

    Started around 25 degrees (I think) but warmed to 40 the next morning.. Crazy weather!
