Seasoned White Oak... Just WOW Man!

    Ralphie Boy yes, that's some great wood for burning. We met Brandon on a trip back from MI. Nice guy. He gave us some fishing poles for our son.

    I will guess about 98% of our heat this year will be from oak. Perhaps 1% of that will be from red oak and the rest from white oak; 3-4 years in the stack.

    website or my internet was acting odd. But I managed to cut some branches and load the boiler before noon today. Came out to refill just now, and the white oak did the job. I have been beating on this stack of tops since last year and still haven’t busted through.

    When you want to lay in bed a little longer on Saturday morning put some white oak in your stove Friday night.

    I’ve been getting tons of white (chestnut) oak for years now and have probably 5 years of it s/s. I love everything but the pre-burn mess it makes. In the truck bringing it home, under the splitter and in the basement stacks. It’s a never-ending clean up but… totally worth it.
