drove up to Plattsburgh for work yesterday, l love this view from the causeway to the ferry. Crossing the grand isle ferry Interesting electric airplane they're developing at Plattsburgh airport paddling afterwards from Peru to Valcour Island on lake Champlain. View to the south on Lake Champlain, VT mountains to the left, Adirondacks to the right
The next day I went on a trip to Newark, NJ for work, then flew home commercially Taken before landing back in Boston Saturday I officiated the wedding of a couple in my church
A nice easy drive to Montpellier, VT for work the following week. Then a flying trip to Nantucket to fix an aircraft there. And a nice flight back to Manchester on my Friday afternoon This past weekend was exciting in a different way , three people were born again at my church, from a background of addiction and prison.
Saturday night fireworks over the Merrimack river in Haverhill They even had these neat fireworks that they shot into the river, then they lit up and went off for a while Last week fishingpol tipped me off to this scrounge, I got a good trailer load Monday, and there's still another load left if I get it in time. Thanks fishingpol !
You do get around Rowerwet! Thank for sharing all the beautiful pictures. We used to live in Presque Isle and now we’re near, not on, the south end of Sebago Lake. It’s always cold to see birdseye shots of places you’re familiar with.
Took the kids to the visitors center at the amoskeg dam in Manchester ,NH they spent the most time playing with this "sand table" it has a computer that measures the sand in the table and projects colors onto the sand like a relief map. Another landscape we created. my son is doing a report on fish for school Amoskeg dam from the air, just below the bridge in the picture.
Being an airplane mechanic isn't all fun and games, that last picture was from Tuesday morning flying to Rutland, VT to help out a mechanic who had been trying to solve a problem all night long in the cold and rain. I was there for a full day, and this was the next morning when it wasn't raining anymore. in the way home we stopped to take in this covered bridge Friday morning, flying over camels hump on the approach to Burlington Vermont airport. Spent the day fixing a plane therr, then had to take Uber back to Manchester, NH because there were no rental cars available due to foliage season.
Yes, they will reimburse me for anything it takes to get the job done. Actually that's a good rate for me, not so good for the driver, a one way rental is about as much
More shoulder season heat going into storage. Getting my chains back to a factory sharp edge with timberline sharpener, this is my 24" echo cs590. Added some low voltage LED lights to the church building, got them on clearance at Wal-Mart. Crane service taking down some trees in the neighborhood , I have so much wood now I didn't even before for any. This Sunday was another exciting one, I've been the pastor here 7 years, Sunday was a record attendance. It was also great to serve communion to three more people who were just born again a few days before . We also had a baptism service for the new converts. I got this inflatable hot tub, it works perfectly for baptisms, and fits on the platform without being in the way. It cost less than $400 on Amazon, a fraction of what portable baptismal pools cost. Monday I got back to finish up the great scrounge fishingpol tipped me off to . Another load of nearly free BTU's
Another great foam fishing kayak somebody in the Carolina's built from my foam kayak tutorial, this is #55 Since I often travel by air for work, and happen to find it very frustrating to not have a kayak along with me wherever I go, I bought an inflatable kayak . Unfortunately, this one was just a bit too small, I caught my paddle on the rear, forward net anchors, and my elbows on the forward, rear rope anchors. Amazon us good about returns though So I bought a bigger one. Tried it out yesterday, much better .
I keep it in a rolling duffel bag, the bag has a lower compartment for extra gear , like the paddle and a life jacket. Finally got to mount the work table to the other side of the splitter. I like the county line table better than the DHT one. Crazy cat we take care of for someone in the church who lost their housing, this is his favorite perch. Fiskars push mower I found for free in the neighborhood.
Smart cat, he can watch the neighborhood from there. Put a camera on him, you might see some interesting stuff.
Rowerwet, a few streets over from me. Was a yard tree, not a city one. Not sure if it is up for grabs. Pretty big maple I believe.
Saturday we went to the topsfield fair with my parents and my sister's family. Along with the giant pumpkin a stuntman doing the human cannonball Random tractors Fun rides, (Yup, I did go on this one) And lots of animals The central boiler/sawmill dealer And his craziest find in a tree
