I'm still not certain what happened as I was in reverse (had lifted a tree trunk) and looking back to make sure I was clearing a tree. Had pallet forks on and heard something. Stopped and looked and forks had actually popped out of the quick release on one side. Didn't look too bad but when I went to put it back in I though it might have slightly twisted. Yet, I got the forks back on with no problem and finished working.

Yesterday I wanted to put the bucket on and to my surprise, it would not fit. Yup. It appears I twisted one side a little bit; enough so I can get it latched. Dang. Not sure what to do.

I am scheduled to get a back hoe mounted next week so may just wait and see if they can get it back in line.

Dang... hate to hear that... but I think Gasifier had that issue maybe on his tractor.... if I remember correctly or it was someone else.... Maybe some pictures would help the brain trust around here...

No on the insurance. I think that is offered only if you want to make payments.

Yes. I twisted my quick attach up pretty bad. Had to take it off and have my neighbor straighten it in his shop. Hopefully Dennis didn’t do it as bad as I did. It turned out easier for him to cut it in a couple places to relieve the pressure and then clamp it down and draw it back into shape. Then weld it there. But like I said, mine was twisted pretty bad. A new one was going to be like 8 or 9 hundred, the neighbor fix was less than 2. That was gooder.

Same issue on the Kubota loader at work. The quick attach frame will bend and be difficult to attach after. Boss doesn't care to spend the money on a new one just yet so in the meantime I've been hooking the forks or bucket under something heavy and lifting up slightly to push it into place and then locking it in.

BFH and a brawny lad might be able to "lightly" tap it back into place

Hopefully it’s nothing too serious and they can get it back in shape for you without any undue expense. Sounds like it’s not that bad if you couldn’t really tell until you tried to hook up. Fingers crossed! I hope it comes out in your favor.
My understanding about the insurance is it’s required if you finance, but available to everyone. I’m not sure if it is after the fact or not. But for $25 a month I might even extend mine after the tractor is paid off. I understand that is available too. It might be worth asking your dealer about if it interests you. I will probably have relatives operating the tractor in the future and you just never know.
In general I tend to believe we’re insuranced to death in this country, but this insurance makes sense to me. $300 a year is cheap considering what repairs cost.

My payments been done for years, great insurance! 300 bucks a year roughly a dollar a day. Motor cost 12 thousand plus! You can still get it KTAC is name.. Required During financing.. yes.. I keep it just because. If I roll it.. Covered.. If falls off trailer, fire theft vandalism covered minus deductible and depreciation. They cover attachments also.. I do not have that.

Another thought Backwoods Savage. I was involved in straightening out a twisted FEL years ago, but it was worse than yours sounds and we just needed to get it useable again. We loosened up all the mounting bolts on the FEL and attached a chain to the short side and a solid object and backed up a little at a time until it was useable again. We tightened everything up and she went back to work never to bother again.
If the mounting bolts on your tractor haven’t been retorqued since new especially, your answer may be as simple as that. It’s worth a try if you have the resources.

Here are some pictures. The second one is with the bucket tipped back. The last picture shows how much it is off. I think I'll be able to straighten it myself but if not, the dealer should be able to. I probably won't get at this for a few days but will certainly try to get it back in line.

If you are good (and lucky) you can just use the loaders hydraulics to straighten that back out. A log chain and some blocks of wood, and preferably a helper to either spot you, or run the lever...you can probably make it perfect again.

Silly question maybe, but have you tried lifting the QA lever on that side and putting just a little pressure on the bucket to try to pop it into place enough for the pin to lock it in? That just might be close enough for that to work.

I’m not sure you bent anything. Have you tried disconnecting the bucket completely and hooking it back up? In the pic it looks like you pushed the left pin down but it’s not where it should have been. Also try the forks again. Good luck sir.

What happens when you remove the bucket, retract and/or extend the cylinders 100%? I suppose it just springs right back the way it is now when you go the other way then...

Be carful with the QA! I disconnected something on mine (I think the plow) and it landed on my foot. That really hurt!

    Ouch! That's nasty...

How did it bend your left big toe so much?
