    My hat is off to you two as that was a nice job. I'd say that would be about the largest sized tree for that splice but you got it done so it worked nicely. It is one that I never have tried and probably won't!

    Great job scotty, i hope one day to learn the talent of tree climbing removals. I just need to find someone around to let me tag along with them on the side. Again great job very impressive

    All the splice really did was keep the butt together, the load of the top was controlled by the truck and bullrope. I'd not try such a thing without a tag line keeping the trunk aligned and controlling the weight of the tree.
