SquareFile since Balsa wood only grows in tropics of central and South America. And I think its highly unlikely you ordered such a tree to put in your snow covered landscape. Ill take your word its a maple.
Hey Fabz i wull offer again, you pick the size saw, whatever CC suits yer scheme and meet me at the cant in NY at the spring gtg. Bring your best. The cants there end up being 12x12 or often larger of whatever species the local mill drops off to them. Dave
He is refering to the common size classes for chainsaw racing, 3 cubic inches, same with 4,5 and 6 cube, unlimited is the size class for anything over 6 cubes.
I didn’t mean ACTUAL balsa ; just referring to softness of the Wood ... I do not see any “heart-wood” except a small silver-dollar sized of in the center ...
