I ran across that this week in one of my rounds, like yours, it was full of queen ants.

They were antsicles with the cold temps. There was a few centipedes that did wiggle about too along with bunches of pill bugs

Second load today. Bucked all but two logs that will be mill fodder. IMG_0252.JPG IMG_0253.JPG Not quite a full load. Had a smaller black birch in the side woods that topped it off. Amazed that for 16 months it had no punk and tight bark. IMG_0232.JPG IMG_0254.JPG IMG_0255.JPG Have to catch up on S/S before going back to tackle the other two piles. Need frozen ground again.

Rounds are piling up at storage. Five plus heaping loads from four different scores in 2022. Some has already been split. IMG_0256.JPG IMG_0257.JPG

Got another load out yesterday before the storm. IMG_0360.JPG IMG_0361.JPG Six nails in this one round. On the blind side of the log when i bucked. Chain saw gods were on my side. IMG_0357.JPG IMG_0358.JPG Rest of the lengths are too frozen to the ground. May be a while to get the rest.
