The lady in Kingston Spring’s property that I am currently cutting on paid a tree service company $300 a tree to just cut and drop. I told her at the start of my cutting that I won’t cut anything that could touch her house or power lines. Have bagged over 6k so far and a lot more to go. Have run into a lot of nails though. Thinking from deer stands put up decades ago. Got my first tick at her place Friday
Have bought 1&1/3 cords of awesome cherry from a poster on CL the last 10 days. He is about 50 miles from my place, but only 5 miles from my delivery path to Nashville. His face cords measured 8&1/2’ L by 4&1-2’ high. And his perfect splits were 18” long. After another two months of seasoning, I’ll bag 5 X more.
Two months of seasoning? He must have had a good start on the seasoning? Do you ever fresh split a few chunks and check the MC?
I don’t go by time on anything, all by the meter on splitting open a few sticks in a pallet. $250k in three years. Think I might have a few satisfied customers?
15% MC is great. Regarding post #1203 about the perfect cherry you bought, I was wondering how it would be ready "After two months of seasoning...."
