Possibly, they were a premier firewood saw in their day, but pretty heavy and slow by today's standards. Make sure your teef are in tight before you cut much with it.
Again, a perfect firewood day. Sold a 50/50 face cord of oak and hickory ($50 tip) and cut & split a large half cord of oak, beech and hickory. Was tackling 22-24” stuff today with a lot of sledging and wedging. Will be taking a few vitamin M’s tonight before bed. A little hooch on the tailgate to ease the pain and suffering.
Big rounds always make you wish for a liftgate if you cannot find any parts for that 031 I do believe I have 3in the shed for parts all have bad ignition but the rest of the parts are there JB
Thank you very much for the offer. Hope to know in a few days what I need for getting the 031 AV up and running. One more load of the big stuff to tackle then back to my normal 8-16" logging remnants. I watched a YouTube video of a guy stepping up rounds to his tailgate. I use this method a lot, but doesn't work if you have very heavy stuff.
