    Thought you guys might like this. These pictures show just how much things have changed over the years.

    Empire State Building was constructed in the 1930's, prior to the safety comes first mindset we have today. Only 6 men lost their lives during the 1.5 year construction.

    That was cool. And in all the pics the men seemed very comfortable with where they were and what they were doing. Lanyards and cables, what's that?

    I don't mind heights, but the thought of walking that steel when you aren't tied off makes me queasy. If you fell from that height they probably have to clean you up with a shovel.
