My foyer (white ceiling) and dining (ceiling t&g raw wood) no wall between them took pics to show differences but it’s so much darker the flash keeps coming on
I hope you have wonderful memories from those E. A lot of materials including the skylights were saved from the dumpster so we don't have a choice on those, and he's been talking about some tricky framing in the roof for them, would prefer the 2x4' ones. But he's willing to for the free ones. The pickled sounds gorgeous! I'd take 2 slider doors in a heartbeat except we're desperate for storage and need the wall space, and we happen to have a used slider door on hand, so looking at one sliding door at the moment. Speaking of "more rustic", yes, it will be, the existing 16' slider doors with screens and all will remain..........
Will do hardwood floors, post and beam it’s dining room has 2 of big windows living room 20x20 faces south west 3 fixed windows 32x76 south 62x50 window and glass door east and west sides Hard for furniture placement; definitely sun room
How do you intend to spend your time in this room? My only thought so far is that the plants will fry next to a stove, even if well watered.
It’s different; lots of stairs and levels. Like me different wildwest you want to pay attention to sun height in sky so you can adjust over hangs so you catch sun in colder months and not be in an oven in summer
Precisely. Can’t do much about local natural surroundings tho... including houses, like in our location- afternoon sun due West in the fall/early winter sux.
I guess this room will be our new living room, and the one we are in currently will be a multipurpose dining room. I showed him my cabinet sketches almost a week ago, he nodded affirmatively and gave them back, but it appears he was doing work in his head and not actually looking at them I was concerned about he boxy look and feel: His expression was "it feels like our mobile home" (we had 12x50' Detroiter(?) for a few years), and, I agree. We spent over 20 years in a spacious house with unlimited storage to this cramped home, I don't blame him for wanting some wide open space. Tossing around a heated-meaning non freezing storage room.
