    I'm older than most of you, but my issues is compounded by being overweight. I would like to think that at this age I could do pretty much as I darn well please, but like anything else, there are consequences. I tip over easily. I break easily and I am much more slow to heal. Fell off the stair in February, and have been in a brace (and pain) since then with three more months and possible surgery ahead of me. Have fun while you can, but use caution. Chit happens!

    Funny how the aches and pains seem less of a big deal since I found this new home on the puter... ;) You're so right... can't stop motion for too long or we rust to a stop. Proof of that for me lately is a weird left thumb that goes into a 2 stage popping when I go from full closed to open, and it's worse when I haven't been using my hands working. When I saw or use the mowers or toss wood... the thumb is fine the next morning. Everything else is all messed up... but the thumb is good... I'll take it... :whistle:

    I have had that happen, they call it Trigger Finger...if its not bad and you want to deal with it, that's fine. If it gets worse it can be a problem. Quick cortisone shot cleared mine up nice, and my Dr said if it lasts a year or more then just go with the shot every once in a while-no surgery.

    I went to work today and have an assistant thankfully. The swelling had certainly moved down to my foot, so I had to wrap in ice and kick back a bit. At lunch now doing the same. Another guy here at work also got in an atv wreck, comparing to me, I won the body damage contest! :thumbs:

    Stinny, just got back.....didn't find anything good.
    Advertised as an "Estate Sale", but turned out they were just selling a bunch of their "stuff".
    I left my phone at home on the charger, so no pics, but there were a few old cars, and a bunch of very old trucks too.
    Wife almost bought an old sewing machine, but decided she didn't have time for another project.
    Most of what I saw was junk and overpriced.:headbang:
    Oh well,....we stopped at DQ for a footlong chili dog and shake combo.....so that was worth the trip.:thumbs:

    Good way to give your body a break :)

    "Shopping" :
    "Going out to buy something you don't know you need"
    LOL

    I go for about 4 days when cutting wood,
    Then tahe a day or 2 break to find out what don't ache :)
    Usually on the weekend so I avoid the crazy people at the cutting area

    Ouch, just seen this, glad you didn't have anything broken. Enjoy the pain meds. You should be good to go in 3 or 4 more days.

    My break was sittin with Giz in the shop lookin out at the woodshed... listening to a steady cold rain. Nice.

    We have friends that (the wife) goes to stores, buys stuff, brings it home, sees if she likes it, takes it back... 99% of the time. I suppose it saves money and is good exercise walking around the stores but, my head would explode if I was made to go with her... :hair:
