How do you normally acquire your logs Chuck?

Local guy with a capable tractor. Hmmmm. Maybe make friends with that feller. You guys might produce more together than apart.
    A thought.

That's a good idea. I don't know the cost but one could also get printed several plastic signs, say, 10"x14" or whatever the size is of common No Trespassing signs. Or just buy already made No Trespassing signs! A sign that says "Private Property" or "No Entry", etc. would work. Or just cut out some white cardboard signs and paint your claim message on there, that would certainly be cheap. I am sure someone could think of the ideal message on such a sign. Ideally, whatever it says would indicate that all wood on the scrounge site is private property, not to be taken, not just the log the sign is attached to.

And the sign says you got to have a membership card to get inside :)
This is the guy who cuts our hay lots. Surprised he wants this stuff. I didn’t, saw the sign and had to stop.

Most of it from scrounging, neighbors getting trees cut down, time to time I see wood cut and stacked curbside, I'll stop and load up.

Sometimes I'll get lucky and ask a tree guy in the neighborhood to just drop it in front of my house. Sometimes mother nature will do me a favor and drop a tree on my property.

I always see wood on FB marketplace and if I am actively looking that is usually my go to. I had a really nice score awhile back from Chipdrop so I might sign up again but that does not come through very often.

Now that the kids sports is over for winter I might get some weekend time back

Neighbor had a tree come down. Asked if I wanted the wood. They’re putting their house on the market soon so I knew time is limited, no one wants to show a house with a tree laying in the side yard.

I knew one tire was low so I pumped it before I started. Must’ve pumped the wrong one LOL Laughing at myself hard enough it was worth a pic :)
I was taking it out in small pieces to winch and drive through all the little saplings without smashing them over. Even got permission from the other neighbor to use their driveway. Gettin all prim and proper in my old age.

Battery was real low. I’ll hit the rest another day. Took the dog out for a nice long ATV ride on trails she hasn’t seen yet. Cold enough the snakes should be in their dens now or at least very slow. Can ride in areas I wouldn’t want to take a dog in summer. My back is pretty sore from the ride and she’s been napping for four hours. Life’s good.

Hey Brad did you ever figure out what’s wrong with your truck?

I beg to differ...most people in FHC would pay extra if there was a tree laying in the side yard! :saw::stack::stack::stacker:
    Wasthemattawhichyou?! ;)

Pulled some more out of the neighbors. Taking small bites trying to maneuver around the small saplings, ahh crushed a few anyway,oh well. Basically done there.

Polaris. So far so good. Don't let it get rained on and it will run. Who woulda thunk?
