They took down an old stand of pine about a mile from my house. Local hobby sawyer asked me to retrieve some for him. He’s got some work cut out for himself LOL
And I’ll need a new tong.

If you weld it back together with some washer gussets on the sides it will be stronger than original.

Or use this as an opportunity for new/ more tools!

I love getting pine like that for my mill.

    Any pine for your use?

Joe, don't buy a tong. I have a large one given to me as a gift. Never used it and probably never will.

Occurred to me later last night I could weld some straps on it. It’s just a timber tuff but it also checks all the boxes I need. Not just any tong will work efficiently with the trailer. Height is a big issue and many of the designs on the market these days are high/long. This one has been modified as time goes on to battle its own design mistakes. Better to stick with the devil I know LOL

None for me. But he owes me a favor now so I’ll be milling some oak collar tie strips for the pens.
I’ll check out your tongs someday, see if they’ll work.

That was a heavy load off the back of the trailer. Problem with sawmill guys is they want everything long LOL. Rear tires on the truck spun all the way up the hill going to my house. That’s a first for me, spinning tires on tar going up a hill :) Good Times!!!!
