Rising Gas Prices & Bar Oil

With bar oil costing what is is, the 'siren call' of using drain oil for bar oil is strong, but not strong enough for me. Not enough viscosity to 'cling'

 

$10.99/gal at TSC here. $8 at Menards. 11% rebate is still going so I may pick up a few gallons.

 

Red Bar oil 11.99 per gallon on sale? at a local employee owned store regular price now 15.99 Gas, regular, cash, 5.03 per gallon. I recall PRESIDENT TRUMP stating, ''i see gasoline going to 5, 6, maybe even 7 dollars per gallon'', and, its on its way!

 

Heard a news article here in CT, that if diesel prices go up to $7/G, some trucking companies will shut down for lack of making any money.
Want to.hear more on that, but it doesnt sound good. In the short term.

$7/gal is not far in the future. This is the "cheap" station, Shell down the street is 15 cents higher across the board.

 

OUCH! I was on "E" the other day and put $20 in. Start the PU and the low fuel buzzer goes off! WTH!
$4.75 for 87 octane around here.

 

Fuel for the f350 is $5.89 here. It doesn't move much these days unless it's needed to do big truck things. I ride my little Honda Grom everywhere unless it's raining.

 

Filled my container for lawn mower, $4.89/ gal. At this rate I'll be making hay by end of summer.
Electric rates suppose to increase this month, fuel prices sky high and climbing.
This winter is going be a tough one for many.

Wow! You know things are bad when $20 won't get you off the low fuel warning. I was shocked when my $100 fill up was barely half a tank.

Local grocery store is working with local gas stations to reduce the price of gas. I managed to get the price of non-E gas reduced by 40 cents per gallon. I filled up two 5 gallons cans. Gotta take the savings where ever you find them.
I am debating whether or not to top off my oil tank now or wait in hopes the price will come down by the end of summer. I used 3/8 of a tank this past winter.

 

$5.19/gal here for regular.

 

Been putting flex fuel (e85) in my truck the last few tanks. It's $3.89 a gallon vs roughly $4.85 for regular.

 

Welp, I tapped into my last barrel of $2.79 gas... I thought of hanging on to it for nostalgia purposes but decided I better use it up. I am not sure if I should be happy to be burning cheaper gas or be crying because now it’s $4.40 gallon & the thinking of filling those barrels again.

Regular unleaded is $5.19 here as of today.

 

My youngest daughter said it was $4.30 around Athens, GA when she filled up today. I paid $4.45 today.

 

I filled up at Sams yesterday $4.27
