Good to hear the progress and to hear about the step dad.

 

New drywall guys hired and starting Tuesday so hopefully we will see some progress this time around.

 

I guys the paying one guy who then has his buddies stop by to BS then they do the work, model didn't work out?

 

for what i paid...it worked very well. i think i have about $400 in 120 sheets of drywall getting hung and all the walls taped but they haven't shown up in 3 weeks now. New guy is charging $250 a day but says he will be there 10hrs a day until its done unless i tell him to leave because i dont think i am getting my money's worth. this spring cheap was the goal but i am past the point of caring what its costs and just need it done.

 

Both sound like excellent deals fordf150. Less than 3 dollars a sheet to hang and tape..

Hate to hear the sad news. I know he is in a wonderful place. He was part of the greatest generation that ensured that we can live the lives that we do today. We are all indebted to him and all our veterans that help protect us in the past present and in the future.

 

good news....the new guys are rockin it....yesterday they managed to tape and mud the first coat on the whole ceiling, second coat on 2 walls, and final coat on a 3rd wall that the previous guys already had done. stopped in there this morning around 9 and they had already got the second coat on half the ceiling. Planned on having the second coat on everything today and have all the inside corners taped along with the outside metal corner bead installed. their plan is by monday to have the entire showroom side done which will just leave the parts room and that shouldnt take long since i dont care what the drywall looks like in it since 90% of it will be covered with shelving.
