I'm sorry that you and your family had to go through that, it must have sucked. Only adding 9 months is one heck of a price I'm not sure of what rehab/heal time is on such an operation, but man that's rough. I completely agree. Since it's just us now, she spends most of her day sleeping on my side of the bed. Once I come home from work, she gets her meds, a treat and then we have to go for a ride in the truck. This is a dog we had to get anxiety meds for when we would go on trips. Now she has to go for a ride every day. I personally could never watch my pup go through that, but we are all different, and some have a harder time letting go and letting nature take it's course. As previously stated, I am ALL about quality of life.
Great to hear that your pup is doing well on it, and that there aren't serious side effects. That was going to be one of the questions for the vet. Will still have to ask about the Galliprant.
Well, as long as it is the same med's it doesn't matter who prescribed it. But, if she whinnies, moos, barks, or meows.. then ya might want to reconsider. As for biting, that could be normal behavior, so I won't even mention that.
Thanks all for the well wishes for Holly. Also, I'll add that the vet's office has called me twice to check up on Holly's progress. I'll be making another appointment to talk to her about the meds long term effects, and where we go from here.
That almost guarantees that B gon ask for a second date! Glad to hear of some positive news for Holly
The guy I took over for at work when he retired always said he had to go see his veterinarian when he had a docs appointment
