I already ordered that and after three weeks they canceled the order because its no longer available or in stock despite what that web page states.
I even went back the yost site and ordered a whole new vise that also was "in stock" and 6 days later that order was canceled due it being discontinued and out of stock.
Would screw diam. be the same as a 460? Looks to use the same draw? Doesn't appear that the 32c needs threads all the way to the handle?
Not sure but its definitely held in differently. The 32c uses a colar and set screw on the inside vs springs and E clips.
I have updates... So I went to Ebay just to see if someone outside of Eastwood / Yost, had that screw I need. Well, I found a new old stock, USA made, Yost Model 204.5 vise listed by a tool retailer out of Sterling Hts. Michigan. It's identical to my 32c, sans the hardened floating pipe jaws my old vise has and the color. It had never been bolted down or used. The mounting base and hardware were still in its original packaging. The vise had some missing paint due to shelf wear according to the description. This from a 100% positive feedback seller with over 1500 sales. They listed the unit for $275 or best offer and $25 shipping. I offered $200 and they accepted. With delivery and tax its was $234 and change. A new screw, with tax and delivery would have been $95 if I had actually been shipped one. I mounted it today. I like the Echo / Kubota orange.
My plans are to get a couple screws made, fix the 32c vise and sell it to recoup some money from the new vise and have a spare just in case. I contemplated just installing the screw from the new vise in the old one because of the pipe jaws but I have probably only used them 4-5 times in 25 years. They are actually in my way for one thing I do regularly in my vise, clamping a bar and chain in it to file rakers. Its very easy for the teeth to snag the pipe jaws. So I went with the new unit. Just in case I have a need for pipe jaws, I can mount this vintage Japanese made Craftsman vise that has cast in pipe jaws. This was mine way back before I got the 32c. My dad ended up with it. I just happened to be down to my nephews a few days ago and there it layed, outside, still bolted to part of my dads bench top that the nephew destroyed when he knocked the log frame barn down. Its been laying outside for well over a year. I asked him what he was going to do with it. "Nothing, take it if you want it." So there it is.
The 32c awaits repair, sand blasting and fresh paint. I really like the interlocking swivel bases on these Yost vises. They aren't just clamping with friction alone, there are teeth that lock together wherever you rotate it. No slip. The craftsman will get the blast n paint treatment as well.
Good ending to a not so great original story I have a bench vise that came from my dad and uncle. Have never given any thoughts on what the manufacturer might have been. Going to take a look next time I’m at the bench!
