I've been dreaming of escaping this area for low property tax NH...... I have stuff like chicken coop on a frame/wheels to avoid taxes....the assessor will drive by and take pics too...
I have deer blinds on skids to avoid a building permint and a visit from the county drain people wanting $97. so I can build with the creek that runs thru our place. I also have it in the front yard. . Al
That's pretty handy, move to a better spot at a moment's notice instead of numerous blinds you only need one!
Is this the place you were trying to sell me near garden peninsula? You need a permit for a deer blind?? SHEESH!
No that blind it at my SE Michigan property/home. Built a pole barn in the UP on the shores of Big Bay DeNoc only needed to have a septic permit I thought odd and a building permit. At my SE Michigan home I wanted to build a honey house, I made I don't know how many trips to the land development office to get the building permint and each time was lacking some thing. When my lawyer and I arrived togeher and the lawyer informed them I was there to get my building permint and was there some reason I should not get one? Should have taken the lawyer the first time. Then I hired a guy with a skid steer and a 10 inch auger to drill the 4"x6"pole holes just finished when the sherrif deputy drove down th edrive with a court order to stop all construction. there is a creek on the other side of the hill I was building on and they had to have me buy a permint for them to do a survey to see if I could do it with out any silt run off. $97.00 permint was bvought no one showed up to do the survey but a week later I got the OK to go ahead and build. told them that was my first and last time to get a building permit. Build what I want where I want and they could do what ever and talk to my lawyer. Al
Yeah, but NJ and NY is "INSANE"! I live on a postage stamp lot with a humble 2000 sqft house and my taxes are + $4500.00 a year, I have a friend in NY who pays $12,000 school tax!
I have a family member on LI that is relocating to MA b/c he pays $15k a year school/property tax No thanks... Our property taxes here in southwest VA run about $400/year....
Dang, time has flown by since you reached out! Try and give me a couple days notice on the meet up, we're slammed at work, and putting SAP into effect while also integrating it into Inventor 2017...going live 10/1. I shall have removed every last hair by then....
taxes are horrid, look how it is for seniors who are on fixed incomes, but the local schools keep heaping on cost increases and say it is necessary for the kids education. Never had nearly as much as these kids have today.
I have a humble 960 sq/ft (FFF), with 624 sq/ft (BMU) and a 14x24 (BMG). Land and house are evaluated at $104,000 and I pay $3,100. On the plus side - I don't pay income or sales tax.
