Close to a cord under cover, 3 rows deep. Dropped the cat today, all is well, new cat wrap gasket and cat frame gasket, then back together. Bring on the cold & snow.
No not all locust, just about any hardwood that comes to mind is mixed in there. I don't separate by species, it all makes heat. I might pick through a bit and burn oak, hickory or locust on the coldest days.
Looking good my friend!..I haven't hauled a single split up to the stoop yet, waiting for some cooler weather til I do that.....after the spiders and such are dormant.
Some of us are specific some not, I like you like to think wood varieties are the spice of life. No one wood is better than the other, some just stick around a little longer.
Good for you. Since you are waiting for the cold to hit and don't have anything else to do you can come and help me move mine under cover. It's only about 8 to 9 cord.
Tomorrow 55 for a high and 37 at night......it's around the corner. Supposed to be a little warmer then 30's at night next week, so maybe the first fire next week, doubt that I will mess with it for one cold one tomorrow.
