I own that exact car. Its a unicorn with a 5speed. The year forester was faster in a 1/4 mile than the WRX.... Its my sleeper wagon....
Yeah, that one is definitely way nicer than the base model lesbian minivan that my wife drove when we first started dating.
Best alignment guy in state. Now, first by tire guy. They get rotated every 7k, wife drives 25k a year, winter and summers on different rims. He'll done brake pad twice and front rotors already.. Bottom line she loves it!! She's happy and she will have good tires! She's not replaceable, tires are..
The guy selling my first choice for the rav4 is not dealing. He dropped $500 and stayed firm. I would then have the corolla to deal with if I went with that one. The 2nd choice rav4 has 42K on it and I think we can get a few hundred more dropped off the price and the corolla then belongs to them! (dealer) I have ruled out the crv we test drove last week.
My lil sister just bought a new Rav4 as a graduation gift to herself. She loves it. Kinda out of necessity though. She brought her old 4Runner in for an inspection, and they wouldn't let her drive it out of there the frame was so bad.
Seems to me that toyota was changing frames for some time. Suppose they'll do that with her's? Warrantied them as I remember.
That was Tacoma's. The 4runners are made in Japan, and brought into the US through the only West coast freshwater port, of Portland OR. Tons of other Asian vehicles come on through this process as well, due to the lack of saltwater. Tacomas are made in the US. The frame is essentially the same though. As much rust issues we have here, I've never seen or heard ofof 4runner frame that's rusted to the point of failure. Mwalsh9152 what year 4runner, just out of curiosity.
Crazy. I see a ton of those here and we really have rust issues. My wife had a 95 and then a 98. She had the 98 when I n met her. That thing was gutless , 3.4 v6 with the auto, but it was super capable and super reliable. I did see a pretzel framed GMC 98 or so the other day though. I was shocked that the guy was even driving it still. You could see the frame flex with nothing in the bed
Yeah, they are definitely gutless. Her dad gave it to her 4-5 years ago with about 130k on it. Likely bought it for peanuts from a customer that didn't want to spend the money to put a transmission in it. I had to reassure my mom that it would be good for at least another 130k. It was still going strong aside from the frame.
That's not gutless. My 4runner with the 2.7 and auto, THAT'S gutless. It's 2wd and geared for highway use. I had a 4wd Tacoma with a 2.7 and a manual that was surprisingly peppy.
Ok.... i had an 89 hi lux with the 22re, blew the motor and replaced it with an offroad sandrail motor. Keith black pistona and rod kit, rv cam... 14.1:1.... race truck.
