Get urself a trailer for sure! I can’t imagjne building a zombie wall of that magnitude one raptor-bed at a time. Check these hauls I have taken... and like I said, I’m sure I’m maxing out my single axle. I’m fairly new to this world but I have learned one thing and that’s buy more trailer than u think u need! It hurts to leave good wood behind because you don’t have the payload capacity!!!

That would be funny. The shirt I’ve been taking with me to change into after work is a $15 Costco button down flannel that hasn’t been washed in 3 weeks. It’s ripe for sure and the button down would meet my dress code requirements at work :)

OMG, that is a huge load on that single axle! Yes, I’m definitely looking for more than i need. Double axle for sure with at least at 6000lb min.

Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is the zombie wall. Whoooooooooooooood!

cigarsmokingzombie .. 5.5 x 10 trailer at TSC with 3500 lb axle is about 1300 or less here. You're probably causing that much depreciation on your Raptor..
It buys you time until you can find out what you really want. Plus you can always sell them for almost what you bought them for.

After a long week at the Bank doing data analysis and mentoring summer interns, I’m back early Saturday getting my hoarding fix. Man, soooo much wood and so little time. Got another load of white oak from a place closer to home. Wood on members! Whooooooooooooood!

Second load. Most of the good stuff was gone, grrr. They took to the dump!

Even my dog Rocky wasn’t impressed.

    Welcome aboard Road-side Oak

CSZ, you're gonna give that truck a hernia.

You've probably answered this already, but how much wood does your boiler eat per winter?

And I'm sure you're gonna let all that oak sit for a while.

    Hoard on!!

I burn about 10 chords max...typically unseasoned crap. I’m hoping I can burn less now that I’m hoarding and seasoning off season.

10 cord per year, that takes up a bit of real estate, but less grass to mow.

We go through 3 cord per year, and I'm hoping to close the gap a bit on the 3yr plan this year.

Meh, lightweights, I toasted off 14 cord last winter.:hair:But seriously, you guys look like you're doing well hoarding. cigarsmokingzombie I will guarantee you'll burn less wood when it's seasoned properly. Boilers do use more wood, but the hot water & steady temps are the reason I don't mind. Load twice a day in the dead of winter & don't worry about it.

CSZ.. if ya don't mind another question, do you use a heat exchanger and forced air, or radiant heat?

I'd prefer radiant myself, but it can be costly to install.

Heat exchange and forced air. When it’s super cold I have some issues keeping the temp right but I’m gonna fix that this year.

I see the boiler now so I take back my, your crazy for burning 10 cords in Delmarva comment.... however with the only difference being your heating water with it, and electricity not being that crazy for a water heater, your crazy for burning 10 cords a year in Delmarva hahahahaga sorry...

Come south to my neck of the woods, several super large trailer dealers from Camden south to Bridgeville.
