Rant: Today's "pressure treated" wood

    PT rated for ground contact; soak the dirt end in a five gallon bucket of UMO for a week or so.

    Yeah, there's two kinds of pressure treated - for ground contact and not for ground contact.
    Both suck, IMO.
    I've been soaking the crap from HD and Lowes with this:

    I usually wait a month or two for the "lumber" to dry out a bit as this will help suck up the liquid goo.
    Ideally I would like to stand them up in a PVC pipe full of the stuff but haven't tried that yet.

    I'll probably not outlive the posts I've done but I tried.
