I guess it's better to have one with legs that short so you can keep up! Does the dog do what it's supposed to do?

Saw this news weather truck at a local gas station. He said he was headed to Fairplay. It's dumping in Fairplay, apparently.

Yes apparently he's very successful when it's been less than half a day when he starts on a track
Not everytime because of the terrain here.
The reason he trained a dachshund is because they won't chase a deer down like a large dog and plus large dogs are shot for chasing deer by landowners I doubt they'd shoot a small dog.
We don't hunt deer with dogs here.

1/2 the houses in my neighborhood were effectively abandoned but much poorer state than the one in your picture. In the last few years people bought up a couple of them and demo'd them, only one built and RV spot for themselves. The others another Ding dong bought up, and has HUGE week long parties, packs like 30 5th wheel trailers and they party 24/7 for days on end on his 1 acre lot. All hours of the days and nights is partying and fireworks. My poor Blackie dog spent his last two summers and warmer holidays drugged because of his phobia. His new tactic is offering-preying on our elderly neighbors a low price way below market value and charge them $1/month rent til they die (they are elderly and sick). Two of our neighbors took the deal. Now this ding dong owns a 1.5 acre lot, next to it is a 1 acre lot of BLM (long term camping allowed here), and the 1 acre lot next to that, so over 3 acres jam packed with every glamper in existence partying for days on end. They and their "guests" are from Colo where fireworks are mostly banned.

I did not take this photo, but I think it's pretty awesome! It was taken on the outskirts of Taft, Texas with the wind turbines and lightning in the background.
