Oh Man! I can’t remember the last time I saw a Crosley fridge! What a memory maker. Not sure, but looks like it’s still working? If so that’s amazing!!

 

You need one of these.

So far it’ll split everything I put under it from an 28" diameter fir round down to cedar fence board kindling sticks. All scrap from behind the shop and built on the tailgate so it’s not the squarest or prettiest thing. If I could figure out how I’d put up a quick video, but my tech skills are not up to the task.

OK, talked to the boy, he said look up Thor’s hammer wood splitters. We got the idea from pictures of something my great granddad built in the late 20’s, early 30’s. The boy searched and found similar on YouTube and we went from there.

Yup! I drained one of the tanks on the mower and figured I’d put the gas to use. No sense in letting it sit and go stale. Haven’t mowed since June.
