Getting our whole house generator delivered today... We saw it going down I-16 interstate towards Savannah...
V16 Cat...yeah, that'd power your house, and about 999 more! We have a few of those at work...I'm told they drink about 100 gallon/hr.
I believe that’s what they use on the oil rigs up north. They would burn thru a tanker of fuel every other day in the winter while drilling & heating things around the site. If I am not mistaken they figured burned about 100 gallon per foot of drilling, one rig manager had it written on his dry erase board.

Cat hid out in the house when I left the other day, left a surprise by my chair. Still working on my night/dark pictures. Owl
You need to make a trip to bowling green ohio in August for the national championship pulls. We have reserved seats in the covered grandstands. 13 classes pull twice over a 3 day span.
Took longer than it should have, 2 of the intermediate traps wouldn’t open so the power sweep wouldn’t kick on because there was too much grain/weight on it. So I had to shovel a lot of corn, promptly the shovel handle busted so I used the broom to shove corn until I could get the sweep to kick on. I will take some pics tomorrow to better explain things.
Do you know any about the first tractor (orange) local/regional pullers I think they all compete to see who can produce the most smoke. No smoke = complete combustion of all fuel. Wonder if he was running propane injected diesel or some other exotic hybrid.
