    I forgot the info pic. Seeing pictures doesn't do it justice. Big muskie was monstrously large. The bucket could hold 325,000 tons or approximately 20 dump trucks worth in one bite.

    Wolf maple tree that the forest has been closing in on for decades. Despite the huge split in the trunk and having a completely hollow base, it’s still pushing out leaves.

    I looked for a camping thread with no luck. Haven’t gotten the hang of the search function here.


    Anyways, when I was single I used to go camping with my hiking boots and a backpack. I never knew it could be this much fun. IMG_3064.jpeg :faint:

    That is one of the iron furnaces in the area. The furnaces required 300 to 400 acres of timber turned into charcoal per year. It ran from the 1850s to 1870s.
