We have always had Labs and ran field trials for quite a few years with them. At one, one of the bird boys at a popper station shot his big toe, the #2 toe, and a good chunk of his foot off. It was pretty messy. Too bad because that boy was a great kid and was working hard to get into the warden service. It was a pretty bad setback for him. The charge in those is like corn meal but packed into, as you say, basically a wad and solid for a ways out of the barrel.

I don't pay much attention to the news but I have observed that "fake news" has been successfully rebranded as "misinformation".

Have to spend some serious bucks to get a battery worth having. Especially in a vehicle you don't use everyday. High-end AGM cells and now a couple companies have started selling Lithium-based replacements for 12V Lead-Acid batteries. All of them are at least 3x the cost of what a quality mid-range replacement battery was 10 years ago.

I first saw this on my ride home today, about 5-6 miles away. As I got closer I realized it was a house right up the road from me. Apparently an entire house was engulfed and they had fire trucks coming in from one town over to help.

I post on here this past weekend about not having climbing gear to take down that yellow birch in my yard. Today YouTube says “I gotchoo buddy”

    Random ob…,
I can plant a tree seedling and water, nurture, fertilize, and not see it grow any all year.
But I can mow my lawn today and when I mow again next week I’ll be cutting down dozens of baby trees 8” tall that weren’t there the first time

Our tree topper went kaput last year and we haven’t gone out to get a new one yet. I came home today and my 7 year old son was complaining that the tree was scaring him. I looked up and don’t blame him. My wife has a different sense of humor than I do :picard:

Exhaust fan for sucking the hot air from the stove room and forcing it upstairs.

I thought heat rises... shouldn’t even need a fan...

Now, heated air will rise all day long, and with a suitable path (usually more than an open door at a set of stairs isn’t enough) for cold air to get back down will drive a natural convection better then any fans will ever do...

PS- not referring to HVAC setups.

I agree 100%. Whoever had this house before me put the exhaust system in that room, and installed the switch near the ceiling where I need a step stool to reach it. Must’ve been the jolly green giant living in this little cape :) I almost never run that fan, only using a small fan at the other end of the house to blow cooler air coming down the stairs towards the stove room. So the switch remains where it is. Someday...

Remember that lunar eclipse we had on November 19th? I tried to take a picture of it at 5am but it came out like garbage. However I just noticed the green UFO above the moon.

I have observed that the more I see "Local Steals and Deals" on the morning news, the more annoyed I get with that woman.
