Yep, just had to replace an AC Delco in our '14 suburban, original battery. Know I won't get the same out of this one. Buddy and I were talking about how bad new batteries are now. Mechanic told him you're lucky to get 2-3 years out of one now.. ..

No wonder you are unable to see the stars at night anymore! This incredible image of the US at night is a composite assembled from data acquired by the Suomi NPP satellite in April and October 2012. The image was created by the satellite’s “day-night band” of the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite, which is used to detect light in a range of wavelengths from green to near-infrared.

This afternoon I stopped by a coworker’s house to pick up a radial arm saw he was looking to get rid of. He’s got a nice little wood shop in his backyard with all the basic equipment required to do most anything. We were standing around, B.S.ing about his dust collection system, and all the bang for his buck he got buying budget oriented Grizzly brand machinery. He loaded the saw into my truck with his John Deere and off I went. Just now I’m looking at random YouTube videos and the screen is plastered with all these advertisements for Grizzly saws, lathes, etc. I love how no matter where I go, YouTube is *always* there listening in, waiting to pander to my inner consumer. :hair:

I'm sure it's all in one of the numerous acceptance agreements that you have to agree with, or forgo the app/service.

Seems like we have to give up any semblance of privacy, or regress 20 yrs.

Last year, we had our first snow before our first frost. Couldn’t remember another time in the past that had happened…

We mowed half the lawn yesterday for the final time. Frost where it was mowed. First time here too. Fort Kent hadn’t had one as of last Monday. They normally have seen snow by now.

When I hear the ice cream truck coming on a hot summer day, I know he’s peddling treats for the little kids. When I hear him on a chilly October night, I know he’s probably peddling treats for the bigger kids.:rofl:

This is probably one of the few clear cut cases where you could definitively say “if only they did X, this wouldn’t have happened” X in this case being the NRA basic pistol course being a requirement if you’re handling weapons on set. Very crappy situation, and it’s disgusting to know that there are people out there with zero respect for handling weapons, checking the chamber, verifying and triple checking what rounds are being used... As much as I think Alec Baldwin can go eat a bag of _____, I definitely wouldn’t trade my problems for his.

And you have to ask why did they have any live ammo anyway? That is just stupid and Hollywood is very anti gun.

Yeah really... For such a homogenously thinking group of people, it's not surprising. When you have nothing but contempt for firearms, you have no respect for firearms. When you have no respect, accidents are inevitable. I'll bet this has happened before, that there were probably many close calls on movie sets that we didn't hear about.

So supposedly the armorers the set is very inept in firearm safety and has had several other “instances” AKA idiot. Earlier that day they had an incident mostly wining snowflake crying from what I get out of it. They have admitted to having live rounds on the grounds because they liked to take those scary awful guns out and target shoot in the desert after hours. Sooooo the big question is who is going down. This can’t be swept under the rug just because it was who it was and the anti-gunners will just ignore it like always. There is a possibility of manslaughter charges. There’s a slew of civil cases brewing. There is an inept employee ultimately responsible. Then there is a Hollywood actor. This might get interesting but unfortunately someone is dead and another injured because of it.

remember the old metal lawn chairs?, a 12ga wad from a "blank" will pierce the back of one of those at 20 yards.
