A farmer's market in Weatherford Texas in 1939. I would love to know what that basket of fresh yard eggs would have cost?

The farmer in the white shirt kind of resembles Buddy Ebsen from "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "Barnaby Jones" TV shows.

Some of the Yellow Pine trees pulled out of the virgin East Texas forests around Nacogdoches? Assuming average rain and normal growth, the 62-inch pine would be roughly 200 years old. The bark on these trees reminds me of Loblolly Pine.

Time flies by..... I was 6 years old when my Dad took me to the indoor movie theater to see this picture show.

Shown here: John Wayne and cast members of "The Alamo" in front of the Alamo on October 24, 1960. To Wayne's left are Linda Crystal, Frankie Avalon, Richard Boone and Pat Wayne.

A guy that used to go to our church wore sandals every Sunday. Didn't matter if it was 90 or 20, raining or sunny. He worked with me in the parking lot directing traffic and parking cars.

I wish those styles would come back. I remember when it was rare to see girls in school without wearing a dress. I miss that.

How come the time you find out that a new windshield wiper blade is needed, it's raining?

Yup... driving yesterday a wiper was streaky. It was the rear one on the minivan, fortunately,

Thinking it just needed to be wiped down, I grabbed a couple of napkins. As soon as I touched it, the thin rubber edgr was separated from the wiper. Wiping isn't going to fix it.

I stopped and got a replacement at a NAPA store. Youtube video indicates a quick easy swap. We'll see. Would be nice if the rain stops, though.
