I was out on the back deck picking up wood to bring inside. All of a sudden, off in the distance I hear a noise I shouldn’t be hearing. It takes me a second to process it and then I’m almost in panic mode. OMFG that’s a large caliber belt fed weapon going off. In my mind’s eye I can see a helicopter just about cresting over the hilltop, gun barrel glowing red hot in the night sky. All of a sudden I hear the guy a couple houses down cough. Turns out all I was hearing was the sound of him bringing his empty trash can in from the street. Time to stop watching all this Ukraine conflict footage

My wife has been gone for 2 weeks, on a girls trip to Florida, and will be home tomorrow night. I'm sitting here, drinking a beer, listening to music, being mellow and happy, then I start looking around and realize a "bachelor" has been living here. That was my OMG moment, this place needs to be cleaned, before my wife gets home tomorrow night!
