Ran my 290 and ruined a chain

    Does it hurt a saw any to ramp up the chain speed like that? I'm picturing a bicycle where you shift into the highest gear and then run into a hill where you need to shift back down but can't. I guess it's ok with such a small bar.

    That's the idea. With a small bar and a big drive gear, your 441 will have the speed and the torque to pull it..

    I may be buying a .325 rim (9 pin) and a 16"/.325 bar. Just for GTG's.
