Very cool. Hard to find one in mint condition now if a guy wanted to relive his childhood. Lol

 

Hard to find the real thing as well , fun vehicles as long as you get the dirt bike out of your head and don't put your feet down. They were fun while they lasted.

 

Yep. I learned to ride on a Honda 250SX 3 wheeler.

 

A friend had this one and I was super jelly.

 

I had a Big Wheel!

 

I had one of those for a while...not a bad machine.
My cousin bought one new in 85, had it for quite some time, then bought a 250 quadracer, so put the SX up for sale...it was log chained to a tree out front...came out Sunday morning and it was gone...never to be seen again.

 

You're supposed to put a lock on the chain!

 

Chain was cut Barney...you can put your bullet back in your pocket too...this was back in the late 80s, it's looong gone!
There was a large biker gang rally a couple miles away that weekend, it was speculated that one of them took it to strip/sell for parts, or it was taken to the rally and used to make money by selling sledge hammer hits on it...I guess that was a common thing with foreign cars there.

Unfortunately, theft is far from the worst thing that happened during these annual rallies...but a few years later the whole thing got permanently shut down after some neighbors made it known to the law about some of the illegal activities that were happening during these events. The thing that sealed their fate was when it was proven that the host club knew about said ongoing activities, and even kinda promoted some of it to a degree.

Anyone know the model/year this was modeled off of? (Without Google!)

 

Without google , Didn"t they sell those as "Big Red".

 

That IS me on a regular big wheel when I was thinner.
