The chassis builder started my crawler chassis. For whatever reason I can't upload it here.

Unfortunately green was the only color in stock. I'll dye them black later. Fixing to fling some sand in the neighbors 15 acre sand mining operation.

Curious how the green takes the dye. I have the same on my buggy and wouldn’t mind making the green go away

I figured if I can make an orange saw jet black, I can these green beadlocks. I'll let you know. Oh, that brushless kyosho buggy does wheelies on our carpet. Lol. Just a quick stab and its wheels up.

Wow, this thread hit me at the right time.

My first car was a Santa Special - Tamiya Bearhawk circa 1991 (?) (turns out to be a pretty rare car these days), sister got a Grasshopper II the following year.

I had a Tamiya Hummer, Traxxas Stampede (the original), Great Planes Singer SS Boat, Nitro Hawk. They are all still in my parents basement.

Few months ago I was bored in a hotel room after 3-4 weeks straight on the road and hit up a local shop. Brought back a Redcat Ascent to mess with in the parking lot.

Will have to try and dig out the stuff next time i visit my folks.

Crawler build update. I'm waiting on some rod ends and a mount for the steering servo that relocates it to the axle.

Yesterday I made the new top steering link as the original was too long with the larger than original 1/5 scale steering servo. 20251018_142845.jpg
I had to engineer and make a mount for the carbon fiber battery tray that came with the chassis. I did that yesterday as well. Luckily there was just enough room for a couple aluminum standoffs. The opposite side sets on part of the transmission. 20251018_142852.jpg 20251018_151912.jpg 20251018_151917.jpg
Yes, I know one washer is larger in the last picture. Rest assured, I'll take care of that after I hit the hardware store.
