Probably isn't over yet.
I went to my local hobby shop last Friday with a buddy that has never been there , it is a unique place that has been there for 70+ years. It was the first time in my life I left empty-handed. Not sure how that happened.

 

I have a Kyosho, Nitro USA being delivered tomorrow. 3 speed, chain driven transfer case and shaft drive 4x4. Straight axles with 4 link suspension.

And, it's never over. In fact I went to an event Saturday at a local RC club. Yeah, imma "need" a couple sand draggers, clay oval cars and a couple 10th and 8th scale off-road buggies / truggies.

 

Turns out its 1.5 miles from my house.

Canopy is circled. It will be taped in place going forward.

 

So....I upgraded from 14.8 to 22.2 volts yesterday. I was booking along at approximately 1/2 speed, stabbed the trigger and it flipped over backwards, ripped the canopy off and became a waterlogged bobber. Of course it was way out. It was like this for over an hour. All electronics under water. "Sealed" radio box filled with water. Miraculously, everything still works.

 

I thought you had a boat to get your boat?
Seeing this calm down my urge to get a boat. Thanks for the help with making my decision.

 

I do but its not ready yet. Need to buy tires for the trailer and rebuild the transom. The biggest hurdle is no dock there yet and me getting into a boat on shore and shoving off by myself is a recipe for disaster.

For you though, they make self righting boats and those retrieval craft you can build or buy. No excuses now. The boats are a ton of fun if you don't do what I did. Lol

Well, I didn't like the red chassis with the blue body or the yellow wheels. Silver and matte black paint to the rescue.
