Lol. The box was still in the plastic wrap. The nice thing is they still produce the monster beetle version so all parts, except the body and uts related parts, are still available.

 

Started the Tamiya Blackfoot build.

 

Axle extenders are on the crawler. Nice articulation bump.

I picked up a re-release Hornet. Have not decided if I should build, or just start purging. I have (3) girls and they don't show much interest, I don't have time...

My first car was a Tamiya Bearhawk, good luck finding one of those. (I still have it)

I ran that RC boat today. First one I've driven and I'm already hooked but, needs to be gas. I don't think it ran 5 minutes on a pair of 5000 miliamp batteries in series. Its was a cheap way to see if I like it.

Already working on it. I was given a 6hp Johnson that a customer abandoned at my nephews side business. Im looking for a cheap 12-14ft aluminum boat to put it on.

I ran the boat again today after adjusting the low voltage cut-off down to 3.2 volts per cell from the factory setting of 3.4. I didn’t think it would make much difference but it seemed to run twice as long. Without timing it, we figured 7-8 minutes. Above is a vid. Watch till the end for the crash lol. One of the neighbors grand kids rowed the boat out to retrieve it. I was going to remove my radio gear and sell because of the first disappointing run time but now, I'll probably stuff some 6500 mili amp batteries in it and keep it. Still getting a big gasser though.

 

That scoots, of course it wrecks when it is the farthest away from you!

 

Lol. It could have been worse. There is a lot of the lake you can't see. Its probably 1000ft long after it curves around from that cove I was in.
