    UncleJoe Joe, I updated the title to the thread, we can suffer and mourne together.

    Once Dawn and I saw Caeser's picture too, and read he passed we lost it. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. At least he was home, in his spot. Caeser was loved and it shows in the picture and in your words. R.I.P Caeser, go find Buster and play.

    :( that really tugged at my heart strings. Brought back memories of my last lab cheyenne. When we took our walks around the bogs she'd always run almost out of sight then stop and turn around with a look on her face saying "comon, hurry up!"

    Sorry to hear about caeser Joe..

    My last dog was a beagle, and in the woods he would orbit me like an erratic satellite, rocketing off in random directions, disappearing, then popping back into view to verify that he and I were still on the same page as to where we were going. He didn't really care where we went, but he wanted to go somewhere, and liked consensus. Losing him, and the opportunity for those particular walks, was one of the hardest things I've gone through.

    So sorry for your respective losses, guys.

    My condolences to you as well UncleJoe. Perhaps, after some time and reflection, the two of you can rescue another young dog that needs your attention. They will be so glad to see you and will do whatever you want him/her to do with unconditional love and support. They both had a great life because of you two. And they made yours better as well. A good deal done among friends. :handshake:

    Actually that's kind of a continuous process. We still have 8 dogs. 2 are fairly recent rescues and 2 are fosters. We will typically have at least 4 at any given time. The most we ever had in the house at once was 11.

    Here are the latest fosters. The black and white one in the foreground has been re-homed. The other 2 are proving to be a bit of a challenge with alleviating their fear of people. The golden one is Bella. She is the worst as far as trust issues. The white one is Sampson. He is starting to come around.

    Mutt's. :)

    The black and white one, we have no idea.

    Bella and Sampson are mostly Anatolian Shepard but there's something else in there too. They are a herding/livestock protection breed.

    Just over a year.

    We're thinking of keeping Sampson. Our Border Collie is 15 and we'll want another livestock guardian when she's gone.

    Now I remember. You had a thread or post about them before. Right? Just great looking dogs. House trained? Good around kids? Dogs? Is SC for Scranton?

    I may have posted about them before. I joined here a few weeks after we got them.

    They aren't good around anyone except the other dogs. They're scared of bipeds although not near as bad as they were last year at this time. They must have had some house training before they came here. We only had a couple accidents early on.

    SC = South Central. :)
