I believe that you can order it in just about any color you want if they have it. I was talking to one of the WS guys and he described the stove to me as something like a car the chassis is the same but the exterior is customizable as far as the color and accessories. They are aiming to keep it in the $2000 range and if you get all the add ons it should hopefully be no more than $2800. Im not sure what kind of burn times they are getting out of it but I can tell you that sucker throws some heat out for sure. Im looking forward to Brians review on how well it works this is a really neat stove.

    LOL!

There's a 17 minute long song by Arlo Guthrie named "Alice's Restaurant Massacree" and the quote I posted about the "27 glossy photos with circles and captions" is from that song. Arlo Guthrie was one of the performers at Woodstock (NY) in the late 1960's. My stove is made by Woodstock stoves (NH). Somehow it all seemed to make sense when I posted the quote. Heck, I was only 3 years old when Arlo was singing at Woodstock so I can't even blame it on the purple haze.

As soon as I read your original post it brought a smile to my face. I didn't make it up to Woodstock, but I sure as hell wanted to.

Flip through the radio at noon on thanksgiving. On many stations across the country at that time. 6pm too.

When we were at the DC Stove Challenge, Tom opened the top to show me what was under the burners while the stove was burning. There wasn't even a whiff or scent of smoke escaping even though the cat was right there and the top was open a foot. The stove just kept burning and drafting away. I thought smoke would have poured out. He said, "Heck you could take the chimney pipe off right now and you still wouldn't smell or see anything." This is an incredibly clean burning stove.

So ... I'll try to get the measurements folks requested and answer the other questions tomorrow evening.

There is a large deep slot for when the door is completely closed as well as a shallower notch to allow the door the hang open a little bit when starting a fire.

For a small company, it just amazes me how well they design their stoves.. On top of that, they become good friends.... Makes you feel good about owning one of their stoves... The whole thing speaks good karma! It's nice knowing that if there are any issues they are right there to help you out. Sounds like the new stove is going to be quite the nice burning stove... I said to Jamie, if you keep the stove around 2000 dollars , you'll now be able to buy the biggest stove that Woodstock makes for the least amount of money...that's clever!

Sounds like the Beta stove is going to sip wood and pump out the heat! And nothing wrong having a super clean chimney

That was in a big tent. I think my wife might not like the idea in our living room. But I'm always open to experimentation.

I suspect at some point I might open the top during a burn and record the results just for fun.

I was hoping to get center of flue collar to front of stove. That would be easier to get when its not hooked up.
Truly sorry man I didn't see that post.

Totally. I have a T shirt which shows the path that he took from Alice's to the scene of the crime, to the POlice station and then to the draft board and Group W bench.
