I tried a search, but does anyone have an opinion on insta heat pellets? Bought two bags today to try later. My new job allows for employee discounts on Pellets and guns and ammo and everything. :) SO for a little over 4 bucks a bag I am giving them a try.

I picked up a few bags at Runnings last season. They were not good.

Maybe as an employee you could lobby with mgmt to start stocking MWPs? And a decent line of softies to boot!

I tried a few bags last year, same as the ones ttdberg had tried. They burned okay for me so at $4 per bag I'd give 1/2 doz bags a try. Seams just about anythings burns fairly well in the Harman though.

Wife burned first bag last two nights, gonna go check ash etc.. St Croix seemed to have eaten them up and the heat was decent ... ok Just did a check, a couple clinkers but the wife does not clean anything but glass. I can get a ton for 180 but will stick to a few bags here and there, saves me from using VTs and Okies. Overall I will burn them. I did see some info on softies in the back room, but have not got to know the right people yet as I have to focus on getting my Gun selling creds first. :)

Whenever you build up sufficient street cred to get the inside dirt on the softies, please be sure to share...

Can’t be a heck of a lot. Not sure what the regular everyday price is right now at the store, but for the past two seasons they have been $215/ton in September / October.

The mark up per bag I think I saw is like 5-6% which makes a ton price even lower %. With my discount they are losing money for my purchase. I only have access to the gun costs. The mark up there is substantial. LOL. There was a generic softie flyer paperwork I saw in the back room, should have snapped a pix . They get about 5 tons in every few days and the tons are gone the same day, so now they limit 1 ton per person. Overall these pellets are average at best bad ash but good heat. Will pick up the bags on occasion.
