Got any idea how much a rack made with BIP would cost? Are you able to assemble it without welding? Can you buy any length runner you want? If you want 8ft ID, you'd want more than 8ft long runners. Do the nipples/connector thingies and the pipe have threads? Am curious how that dollars up. I lucked up and got two iron racks made of steel pipe for $50 each. One was used, appears to be commercial made, the other I had a welder make it, he had some scrap pipe. Not pretty but it works lol. The rest of my storage is using pallets or cinder blocks and 2x8 boards.

EDIT: WeldrDave I am surprised you don't have ample supply of those IBC totes available. Around here, common. I think I will approach some farmer friends, they use lots of those things. I also lucked up on three of them. Free. Somebody left five on a lot for the taking and I could only haul 3 home. I have 5 total. Paid $10 for one, $20 for the other. But I sure like free lol. But I'd pay a small amount cuz they do make great firewood bins.

"IF" you can find one with in 25 miles, it'll be $100+ bucks! The man I just got those from has a contract for coffee syrup for some fast food chain, He didn't specify. There isn't anyone remotely close to me, and I've looked at the advertisements in the papers and craigslist. I was lucky to find these, 70 miles up the road and $50.00 a piece, (which is great) and all in all I burn't about 25 bucks in gas with that RAM so $125 isn't bad for 2. Just time spent driving. My next trip I'll get 8 of them and put them on the Kubota trailer. That'll be worth the trip then!!

Yawner the BIP was free as it was pulled out and replaced; was sprinkler but original installer did not filter water as was city water, gunk caused reduced water flow so replaced.. free to me..
Those are not welded they are screwed into place with pipe wrenches. Buddy has a pipe threader.. I can get better pics if you want them, a couple of T on bottom a couple 90s on top
A can or 2 of rust oleum spray paint
Those are 14 inches wide I like 16” splits
I got 2 at 16 feet long about 6 feet high
2 at 7 feet long .. I will make more when pipe is free

cost about $15 dollars for fittings have worked for 5 years definitely heavier gauge metal

you cut thread pipe any length you want

How long is the trailer? If you can get 8 on there, double stack and haul 16.
If I could haul that many at once, I'd take the time to pull bladders out, cut in half, stack them on the truck and have cages on trailer...cut way down on wind resistance...

I'm gonna be pushing it at 12 I think! The trailer will hold 8. It's 16ft of floor base rail to ramps. Those IBC totes are 46-3/4" long and just at 40" width. Inside width of the of the trailer is 82-1/2". so, I can squeeze 8 on! I'm going back up on the 3rd and get 8 more.
