    Many moons ago I ran a bunch of stock chains across a stock MS261C-M. I did not run any Semi-Chisel chains (RM/PM) however.

    It appears to be slower with 7pin 3/8. 7pin .325 was impressive

    I run 3/8 on mine. I like the wider kerf to keep the saw from pinching so much in cuts. Thats one of the huge drawbacks of using my top handle saw, it get pinched in everything lol.

    I ran 3/8 -50 with 20” bar full comp, square grind on both my ported 026 and 261. In soft wood not to much bar, I like the extra length bar for reach.
