Mick-fish, there is a cart made specially for going up or down stairs. My mind is not in full gear right now so can't come up with a name or picture. Perhaps someone else will chime in on this.

Dennis....I spoke to the people that Charlie sugested....The only problem is I was quoted $1900.00 for the unit and they don't rent them..I think we will just carry it or use a fork lift to get it up on the deck ,then use a dolly like you did

Did you try calling some rental places in your area? Someone must rent something similar. There are other companies that make stair climbers, so someone must rent them... I don't think your going to carry the PH up 10 stairs or want to... When you go to look at them just lift one side... That's what I did so I knew if I could lift the stove off the ground on one side,, the wife could slide wood underneath to shore it up to remove the dolly at the end... The PH is a very heavy stove.. Real Heavy.... Just keep in mind if you lose it moving it,,, you don't want that weight to get out of control,,,, you'll never stop it,,, be like a wrecking ball... Get a good game plan together ...make it easy on yourself...Having good control you won't risk doing any damage to surrounding things, yourself or the stove.. If you need extra hands get them by all means...

Mick, try stopping at a place where they sell pianos or organs. Many times you can rent one from them.
