I just watched the first half of this year's Super Bowl and got to thinking. I believe this is number 52 and I was wondering what was the first SB you watched? For sure there has to be many who have not seen maybe even the majority of them. fwiw, yes, I do well remember watching the Packers win the first 2 Super Bowls. Boy, that was a long time ago... I also watched that Ice Bowl in Green Bay.
It was when John Elway was leading the Broncos... Mom and Dad bowled on Sunday nights.. so we got to watch it at the bowling alley...
Remember black and white TVs? And the printing over the screen that read "INSTANT REPLAY" like we couldn't figure that out! Thats how many I've seen!
Probably remember a few before that compound fracture, but that’s the one that sticks out in my memories of youthful Super Bowl watching.
Can't say as I've ever watched a single one. I think I may have watched a few minutes of a couple of them, must not have been very memorable because I can't remember them though.
Yup, same here...try to catch a commercial here n there...couldn't care less about the game...maybe when the Browns are in it I'll watch...
I've watched just about every one and watched dynasties come and go. And they do come and go. Great history.
Well, once again I watched part of this one. There just gets to be less and less interest in them every year.
The first one I really can think back to and remember was the NY Giants/Baltimore Ravens in 2001. I really only remember because I grew up a NY Giants fan and just remember going to my uncles house with the entire family and watching the game. Im sure I watched ones before that but dont recall any prior to 01.
Super Bowl VI was my first. I rooted for the Dolphins and my brother took the Cowboys. He has remained a Cowboys fan to this day. I switched to the Giants when my favorite player Larry Csonka joined them. Haven't missed a Super Bowl since. No parties or anything, just a football fan. Played in HS and coached for 15 years.
