    Well, part came in today.
Basically their red wire is my yellow wire, and vice versa.

Really super ******* unhappy with these people.
    But the stove is running.

    Thanks for the help everyone.

Spend the big $$$$ and get the factory part and the colors will be as they were when the stove was made.

I had to sort this crap out with my VOM to finally see WTF was wrong.....Swap the wires and ALL WAS GOOD.

The difference in price was OK.....Sure would have been better if the wires were colored correctly.

IIRC It was that the wires are different materials and the color of the jacket as mated with the wire material is backwards......

    Glad you are running...

Absolutely ridiculous that these are still in the market. Glad your stove is working though.

New old stock will get you every time, now for real enjoyment watch a gimp use a drill and soldering iron, my parts are here maybe I can build some electrical filters I am tired of the hiss. Makes tuning a SDR painful.

Your original had a red and yellow wire and the replacement had a red and white wire? Is it working OK?

Normally, red and yellow wire signifies a K type thermocouple which can read a temperature from -454 to 2300°F.
Red and white signifies a J type thermocouple which reads from -346 to 1400°F.
Both are very common but the J type has a shorter life span at high temperatures than the K type - and the device reading the temperature needs to be set to the correct type.
