Got to run the leaf blower next, hey Don, I finally put that burn pot in the stove. I also managed to get a 40lb bag from the garage into the burn room.

I have a CB 1200 and had the same issue , call light on but no fire . The thermocouple wire was not pushed all the way into the ceramic tube .

Twisting the wire together is a temporary fix.

If you kink a thermocouple, it will start to read at the kink and not at the end. They are very sensitive Don.

As Jay said, it's a lesson learned. When they are gone? They are gone and need replaced.

Good point about not reading at the very end unless it is welded at the tip!
    Thanks Dexter!

    Hello
So I put the new one in and started the stove. Stove lights and fire dies out!!!
The thermocouple wire is color coded with a Red & Yellow wire that goes to a terminal block just outside the control box. There is also a green ground wire from ground to one of the wires so I attached it to the yellow wire.
There is no instructions anywhere showing which wire should be grounded???
Luckily I had a new control box and it came with a green wire attached to a red wire!
Finally I switched the yellow and red wire so the Red wire is attached to the Green ground wire and bingo the stove kept on going!!! WTF!!!
Red to ground and no instructions stating that is correct???
    Can anyone verify this please?

    Thanks Jay
You know I did figure it out and electrically speaking nowadays a red wire would never be grounded!
You can work with me anytime. :)
There is only 2 screws and 2 wires on the terminal block no orange wire so:
    Where was that diagram?

See attached Aladin CB1200 Wire Diagram I was working on with No Green Ground Wire. ???
    See red arrow

Is the replacement OEM or an aftermarket? I'd assume the oem would include a wire diagram if they changed something. But then again it could be in the service manual which IIRC is only available to tech's.

Diagram I snipped came from the manual of Quads website. I got a few service manuals and some of the service bulletins/updates in a file at home somewhere. I'll dig through when I get a minute to see if they passed anything on to the tech's. Otherwise kappel15 would be they guy to contact?

He's the master after all.... :p

We be just stove nerds and deserve to be comped if we help........

    Hi Jay
The Thermocouple is the OEM part you can see the packaging in my pic with the HHT part #
I also have the OEM replacement control box and there is no wire diagram like that in either one.
The cb1200 manual did not show it, so it looks like your diagram is for a different model.
Not that it does not apply just curious which model stove?

    Thanks I appreciate your help.

    Hi Jay

    Thanks Again
Look what I found! See attached file.

Where is this stuff when you are in the field and looking at what else may be causing the issue? LOL
