    Been waiting for the water to drop a little, Beavers have it dammed up downstream. Decided to get it today before it's frozen in hard. Good thing, there was a skim of ice this AM.
    It's close to a mile down to the "camp" and figured why go home empty handed, so this Birch followed me home, not the best wood, but it looked like it was time. Wait too long with birch and it'll rot standing there.

    I went by a small pond yesterday not far from here and it had a skim on it. I was very surprised as I did not think the water was that cold.
