Wise8706, that sounds good. You are not that far from us and may I take the opportunity to invite you to a Firewood Hoarders Club get-together at our place on 4/23. There will be many coming from not only Michigan, but Ohio, Indiana, PA, NY, WV and who knows where else? We're planning on having a great time as we'll be doing some felling, bucking, splitting, stacking, making lumber, eating, drinking and last but not least, partying. Let me know if you'd like to come and I'll send you a private conversation with more details and how to get here.

Looks like you have a good system there already.
Bigger trailers aren't always better. They take a lot more work to fill them;)

Yes it does..lol.. Empty weight goes up as well which makes a real big difference especially with a 1/2 ton tow vehicle. Unless you have a nice aluminum wagon..lol.. I love that trailer man..

Most of the dump trailers I have been looking at are made by crest trailers. I part I don't like about them is that the flooring on it needs to be a little thicker. One of my buddies own one and he's starting to get ripples in it where the crossmembers run across it. Maybe able to fix that with some poly over inside of it like they use on semi trailers.

I was cruising CL yesterday and found a cool garden cart. I just went up and got it, I paid $100.00 for it, it's like new!. The man I got it from bought it as a package deal with a JD lawn tractor and didn't want it. I was looking for a log hauler from the front yard to the back, This will safe my back instead of the wheel barrow!

I have the 15cf size. Had it for years and it is still going strong. You did good with that trailer. Cute little dump feature on that one.

Definitely quit smoking. The savings will buy the trailer, and your life and wife will be happy.

This cart is perhaps 25 years old. Don't own a truck, so all the wood gets hauled with this from the two properties I cut on.

Yep. Thanks to Backwoods Savage posting about having a 3 year plan (from the other site) and all the hoarders motivating me here, I now have 25+/- cord. I did buy about 6 cord in rounds from a tree service ($200); I get the rest from a 20 acre parcel adjacent to mine and a 2 acre parcel my neighbor owns (can cut anything dead on these parcels). I live on 5 acres but only the edges are treed; did get a big oak from it this year and about 10 small blue spruce that are slowly dying off.

Have missed out on lots of scrounges by not having a truck ... but hard to complain as I have it pretty nice only having to drive the cub cadet several hundred yards.
