Ash was dark gray with black specs all over. Heat was was little lower, but ok. Hard ash or clinker was bigger than what I like to see, but it was not rock hard. My glass got very dirty fast and for the first time I had to scrub to get it clean. over all these are just ok. This is a home test, always try a few bags for yourself before stocking up.
