I thought I was going to read about someone claiming that evil pine just couldn't be burnt. Funny thing is my step son was talking to my wife (his mother) on the phone last week and said ask me if I could help take down a couple pines and a locust tree. I said sure I can do that but just wondering am I taking the wood or you keeping it. He replied we will keep some of the locust but naturally we don't want the pine because of the creosote. I said tell him that's an old wives tale.....lol
Tell him that locust will bring bugs to his house...it was after all one of the biblical plagues - locusts.
someone also wrote in the comments in that story that it is a fir, I can tell by the needles,bark, and color of wood that is is definitely a pine, the fir we have out here is Douglass Fir and has a redish tint to it when freshly cut and the needles are totally different
